Weapons
WEAPONS -------------------
Weapon melee damage is built from two parts:
- Base Weapon Damage
The weapon's DMG value (item damage), used in base hit calculations.
- Weapon Bonus Damage
An extra flat value added to hit floor (min_damage).
This smooths low hits and raises consistent damage.
MAIN-HAND BONUS DAMAGE -------------------
Main-hand weapon bonus damage applies when all are true:
- You are a melee class (Warrior/Paladin/Ranger/ShadowKnight/Monk/Bard/Rogue/Beastlord/Berserker)
- You are level 28+
- The attack is from your main hand
OFFHAND BONUS DAMAGE -------------------
Offhand bonus damage does not apply by default. It applies when you have SecondaryDmgInc effects (for example, Sinister Strikes style effects).
QUALITY EFFECTS -------------------
Item quality improves both weapon damage components:
Epic
- Base weapon damage: +1
- Weapon bonus damage: +10%
Legendary
- Base weapon damage: +2
- Weapon bonus damage: +25%
NOTES -------------------
- Base damage and bonus damage are separate and both matter.
- Slower/heavier weapons generally gain more from bonus-damage formulas.
- Quality bonus-damage scaling applies after normal bonus-damage calculation.
- Item inspect no longer labels damage bonus as "level 65" only.
