SYMPATHETIC AUGMENTATIONS -------------------------

Sympathetic augmentations are magical ring augments that can answer one spell with a second effect. They are especially valuable to dedicated spellcasters: the right sympathetic echo can add damage, restore health, or strengthen the lasting harm caused by damage-over-time magic.

THREE SYMPATHETIC ECHOES ------------------------

Brellbound Echo of Restoration

  Healing spells may awaken an additional restorative burst.

Incandescent Echo of Ruin

  Direct offensive spells may call forth an additional magical strike.

Bloodglass Echo of Decay

  Damage-over-time spells may produce an additional lingering decay effect.

These effects can make a caster considerably stronger over the course of a fight. Only one sympathetic effect can answer a single spell cast, and these first-generation echoes are intended for lower-level magic. More powerful sympathetic augmentations may be needed as your spellbook grows.

FINDING THE KNOWLEDGE ---------------------

The guildmasters gathered in the Void have studied these three sympathetic echoes. Seek them out and inspect what they offer for sale. Each relevant guildmaster carries a book containing the information needed to create one of the sympathetic augmentations.

The books contain the recipes and clues concerning the required components. This help topic intentionally does not reveal those recipes: obtaining and reading the guildmasters' teachings is part of discovering the augments.

USING SYMPATHETIC AUGMENTS --------------------------

These sympathetic augments fit only in rings, limiting how many can be worn at once. A compatible ring must have an available augmentation slot.
