Getting Stronger
GETTING STRONGER ----------------
Power in Beyond the Void comes from several systems working together. If a fight feels out of reach, there is usually more than one way to prepare for it. This guide points toward the major progression paths without prescribing one perfect build.
1. LEVEL, SPELLS, AND SKILLS ----------------------------
Levels remain the foundation of your character. They provide health, mana, combat ability, new spells, and access to stronger equipment.
Keep your important combat and casting skills trained. Visit the trainers in the Void when a class trainer elsewhere would be difficult to reach.

2. IMPROVE YOUR EQUIPMENT --------------------------
Replace weak equipment as you explore harder zones. Pay attention to armor, health, mana, heroic statistics, weapon damage, haste, focus effects, and resists appropriate to the enemies you are fighting.
Some dropped items appear as Epic or Legendary versions. Ordinary and Epic items can also gain radiance and eventually improve to the next quality tier. Rare enemies can provide valuable equipment and radiant shards.

3. BUILD WITH AUGMENTATIONS ----------------------------
Augmentations add another layer of power to good equipment. They are not minor
finishing touches: carefully chosen augments can be among the most powerful
upgrades available to a developing character.
Spellcasters should make sympathetic augmentations a serious goal. A sympathetic aug can answer a normal spell with additional healing, direct damage, or damage-over-time power. These extra effects can trigger repeatedly through a fight, making the three sympathetic echoes exceptionally strong for the appropriate caster. Guildmasters in the Void sell books containing the knowledge needed to make them.
The gemcrafter in the Void also possesses teachings for unusual crafted augments. These include enhancements for armor, healing, and spell damage, as well as a lifetap augmentation that can return health through weapon attacks. These special effects can transform a character's build and may be more valuable than ordinary statistical upgrades.
Inspect what the gemcrafter and guildmasters offer for sale. Their books reveal the recipes and provide clues about where the required materials may be found.

4. CHOOSE COMPLEMENTARY CLASSES -------------------------------
Your three classes are strongest when their abilities support one another. Consider how you will survive, recover, control enemies, and deal damage. Equipment and augments should reinforce that plan rather than spreading your power too thinly.

5. REBIRTH FOR PERMANENT POWER -------------------------------
At level 50, rebirth allows you to begin again while keeping permanent power from a chosen class memory. Repeated lives can build heroic statistics, specialized class strengths, class-family synergies, and increased experience gain. Rebirth is the central long-term progression system.

6. PREPARE FOR MASTERY -----------------------
Mastery progression begins at level 35. You can direct part of your experience toward mastery with the mp command. Mastery spending is still being developed, but earned progress prepares your character for that system.

WHEN YOU FEEL STUCK -------------------
Ask yourself:
- Are my spells and combat skills current?
- Is my equipment appropriate for my level and classes?
- Can any important item be upgraded through rarity or radiance?
- Do my items have useful augmentation slots sitting empty?
- Would a different target, zone, or rare spawn offer a better upgrade?
- Is it time to complete this life and pursue another rebirth?
Small improvements across several systems often matter more than one enormous upgrade. Build patiently, test what changes, and return to difficult enemies when your character is ready.
