Getting Started as a Human

Humans may begin in freportn, freportw, or freporte. West Freeport (freportw) is the recommended first newbie area and a good place to learn the city.

Use running as your navigation tool:

  1. Type 'run' to see the landmarks and zone lines available where you started.
  2. If you are in freporte, use 'run zone freportw'.
  3. In freportw, type 'run' again and use its landmarks to learn the area.

New characters can fight weak creatures around West Freeport and its gates. Stay in this area while learning combat. When you are ready for a larger outdoor zone, use 'run zone commonlands'. Run may pass aggressive enemies, so watch the map and room updates.

Touch nearby Void Stones as you travel. Walking and the Void Rift remain useful, but running is essential for getting around Freeport and the wider world.
