Disciplines
Command reference: This page documents the in-game disciplines command.
Disciplines
Disciplines are combat abilities used mainly by melee and hybrid classes. Unlike spells, disciplines cost endurance (EP) instead of mana, and most share a cooldown after use.
Learning Disciplines:
Disciplines are learned from discipline tomes. These are items named
"Tome of ..." or "Skill: ..." that drop from NPCs or are sold by vendors.
To learn one, hold the tome and READ it:
read tome
If the tome matches your class and you are high enough level, the
discipline is added to your list of learned disciplines and the tome is
consumed. Pure spell casters (wizards, magicians, enchanters, and
necromancers) do not use disciplines.
Using Disciplines:
activate Lists the disciplines you have learned.
activate <name> Activates the named discipline.
Most disciplines need a target and cost endurance. If you do not have
enough endurance, or the discipline is still cooling down, it will not
activate. Use the "spell <name>" command to see a discipline's endurance
cost, recast time, duration, and effects.
